Hold Them to Their Word

Posted in Hold Them To Their Words tagged , at 11:46 am by wordblue

On MSNBC, not more than 20 minutes ago, the anchor reported that  John McCain recently stated that he has no plans on going after Barack Obama’s VP choice, whoever that ends up being.  With McCain’s ability to shoot down Obama directly, it has been made apparent that nothing is off limits.  No topic or issue is too shielded to attack.  Why would anyone believe that the competitions VP choice will be off limits to attacks and negative campaigning.

And from the king of complaining about “flip-flopping”, lets see how he responds in a few weeks when, for certain, he DOES begin to attack whomever Mr. Obama chooses for the somewhat coveted VP seat.

Regardless of who says what, lets keep track.  And hold them to their words!

More on the Attempted Start of Bush’s 3rd Term

Many non-republicans in this country have had a sneaky suspicion that McCain’s bid for the presidency really equates to bush’s “third term”.  McCain, being the politician that he is, feverishly denies that point at every turn.  Really?  Funny, because this is what is going on right now…

WASHINGTON – Senator John McCain ’s presidential campaign has gone through its second shake-up in a year. Responding to Republican concerns that his candidacy was faltering, Mr. McCain put a veteran of President Bush’s 2004 campaign in charge of day-to-day operations, and stepped away from a plan to have the campaign run by 11 regional managers, Mr. McCain’s aides said Wednesday.

Great.  Look John, we’ve had enough.  Enough of bullying this country to serve the ideals of one man.  Enough being lied to and manipulated.  Enough being dragged, kicking and screaming, through the muck you call leadership.  Out with the “old”, and in with the new, fresh, and more thoroughly inclusive.  The thinking of old, white, rich men as leadership for a country is over.  This country is full of bright, young, intelligent, interactive people who will not just sit on the sideline while a handful of greedy control freaks ruin this land.  This time around, it’s going to be more than a simple changing of the guard.  This time around, we will shift our perception and take this country back.  Hey john, maybe you can snatch up the competition and threaten them into giving you the seat.  Seems like that’s what the republican party is all about.  If you’re not legally voted in, just forcefully take it.  Come on, you’re good buddy george b did it, why can’t you?  (And in case anyone missed it, I will NEVER put goerge bush’s name in caps.  He doen’t represent me, nor anyone I know.  He is not a fair representation of this nation… only of his own warped, twisted, greedy thinking.)

Breaking Records, Making History

(CNN) — Barack Obama has done what many just a year ago thought was impossible. He took on the most powerful family in Democratic politics and won….. On Tuesday, Obama became the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, marking the first time an African-American will head the ticket of a major political party.”

That’s what I’m talkin’ about! This country needs a political shake-up. (And I don’t mean one like what the U.S. government put this country through on 9/11… yeah, I said it….. but that’s a post for another time.) And it’s getting one… on a grand scale. The old school notion that stuffy old (Christian, white) men, who have no idea what is going on out “in the field”, directing this country into a world the way that only they see it, is over. It’s time to retire those “men” and their backwards, old-world, close minded, self serving thinking.

Enter Barack Obama (as well as Hillary Clinton). When the world (OK, the country) was introduced to these two potential candidates, most anyone with a TV, radio, Internet, or a big-mouthed friend or neighbor instantly realized that this election year is absolutely not going to be anything like any previous election year. And unless this country REALLY wants to extend Bush’s term into a third via John McCain, it sure looks like we are about to have the first African-American President in this nations history. Need I even say… it’s about time! This country isn’t primarily old, white, stagnant, and greedy. Quite the opposite: this country is young (2003 US Census Bureau data shows… the median age of a U.S. citizen is 35.7 ), culturally diverse on an unprecedented level,

(The majority of the population of the United States is of European origin, with the largest groups having primary ancestry traceable to the United Kingdom, Germany, and Ireland; many Americans report multiple ancestries. Major racial and national minority groups include blacks (either of US, African, or Caribbean parentage), Chinese, Filipinos, Japanese, Mexicans, and other Spanish-speaking peoples of the Americas. According to the 2000 Census, it was estimated that whites comprised 75.1% of the US population; Hispanics, 12.5%; blacks or African Americans, 12.3%; Asians and Pacific Islanders, 3.7%; and Native Americans [Amerindians—more commonly known as Indians, Eskimos, and Aleuts], 0.9%)(It is supposed that there are about 150 or more ethnic groups in the United States)

dynamic, fluid, and eager to earn our income (as opposed to practically stealing it and causing global conflict in order to pad our pockets), earn the respect of our peers and neighbors (as opposed to demanding it with absolute zero return on that investment), and earn our rightful place in the fabric and history of this nation. It’s high time that someone who represents the true tone of this nation to lead us.

Keep your eyes open and your ears up. The revolution is being televised! (As well as Multicasted, Webcasted, and Podcasted.)
